Full 25-point door and opener safety check with every visit - springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and your LiftMaster or Chamberlain opener included
You get a price before we start. It does not change when the truck arrives.
The Otto’s Garage Door Guarantee
Here’s what our guarantee actually means if you live in Vista, San Marcos, Oceanside, or anywhere else in North County: when we finish a job, we write the 90-Day Done Right Promise on your invoice. Not fine print. Not a brochure. It’s right there on the paper you sign. If anything we touched isn’t done right within ninety days, you call one number, and Otto Reinhardt answers. Not a queue. Not a call center. The owner. He comes back and makes it right, no runaround and no invoice. That’s the whole promise, and we’ve been keeping it since 2004.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every repair and installation. If a hinge we tightened works loose, a track we adjusted drifts out of line, or an opener we mounted shifts, we come back and fix it within the 90-day window at no charge.
- Parts we supply and install. We stand behind every component we put on your door, from springs and cables to rollers and openers. If a part fails because of how we installed it, it’s on us.
- Cleanup before we leave. Old springs, broken cables, bent tracks, opener boxes. We take it all. Your garage floor looks like we were never there, except the door works now.
- On-time arrival, every time. We tell you when we’re coming, and that’s when the truck pulls up. If something genuinely holds us up, you hear from us before you have to wonder.
- The price quoted is the price you pay. Otto quotes the job on the phone and holds that number at the door. No surprise line items. No “while we’re here” pressure. The number doesn’t move.
Our Satisfaction Promise
If you’re not happy with how your garage door works after we leave, you don’t get transferred or put on hold. You call (760) 891-5938 and tell Otto directly. He listens, he asks what the door is doing, and he schedules the return visit. The 90-Day Done Right Promise is the contract: if it’s not done right, we make it right. Period. And because the truck that shows up has Otto Reinhardt’s name on the side, the person fixing it is the person whose reputation rides on it. That’s the difference between a guarantee from a local owner-operator and one from a company with a customer-service script. We live here. You’ll see us at the hardware store on Saturday.
Licensed & Insured Backing
A written promise matters because a real business backs it. Otto’s Garage Door is state-licensed and insured, with a published address here in Vista and a license number any homeowner can verify before the truck even arrives. Insurance covers your property while we work on it. The license means we answer to California’s contractor standards, not just our own word. And because Otto Reinhardt is the owner, the name on the license, the name on the van, and the name on your invoice are all the same name. That’s accountability you can look up. When a company hides behind a national brand and a routing number, the guarantee is only as good as the hold music. Ours is written in Vista, California, and signed by the guy who answers the phone.
Why We Put It in Writing
A garage door weighs around 200 pounds and rides on springs under serious tension. When a spring snaps in Vista at 9 p.m. and your car is trapped in the garage, you don’t need a promise that sounds nice. You need to know the person on the other end of the phone will actually show up and actually fix it. The 90-Day Done Right Promise exists because Otto got tired of hearing about companies that quoted low, showed up late, and disappeared when the work failed. He built Otto’s Garage Door on the opposite model: quote the real price before the visit, do the work correctly the first time, and stand behind it in writing after the truck leaves. A door is 200 pounds riding on two springs. Respect it, and respect the homeowner who has to live with it.
What the Guarantee Does Not Cover
We’re upfront about this too. The 90-Day Done Right Promise covers our workmanship and the parts we install. It does not cover damage from a car hitting the door, a tree branch taking out a panel, or normal wear on parts we did not touch. If your door was fifteen years old when we repaired the opener, the springs still have fifteen years of cycles on them. We’ll tell you that before we start, not after. And if something outside the guarantee’s scope does come up, Otto will give you a straight answer about what happened, what it costs to fix, and whether it’s worth fixing at all. No scare tactics. No upselling. Just the truth from a guy who counts spring cycles the way you count tire miles.

No. Otto quotes the job on the phone and holds that number at the door.
