Run your hand along the bottom of the door. If the material flakes or feels like hard plastic instead of rubber, it’s done.
• The door sits unevenly at the bottom or light shows on one side. Sometimes this is a failing spring or an out-of-level track, but if the door is square and the seal still gaps on one end, the seal itself has compressed permanently from uneven concrete contact. A new seal with a slightly larger bulb profile can often fix that gap without touching the door.
